Job summary

The City of New York seeks a Senior Policy Advisor to work with City agencies to identify risks and opportunities to improve services. You will lead a team, conduct research, and oversee data analysis and dashboards to support governance and efficiency.

Under the Director and Deputy Director of Strategy & Operations, you will manage projects end-to-end, develop evidence-based recommendations, and ensure timely, compliant program delivery across City programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 4+ years in city government, urban planning, policy, or operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and propose practical measures to manage risk and increase city efficiency.
• Supervise and lead senior policy analysts on complex initiatives.
• Conduct and oversee research including qualitative and quantitative reviews of City programs and best practices.
• Develop and update confidential agency risk, compliance, and organizational profiles.
• Oversee contract reviews and other compliance investigations.
• Perform data analysis and fact-finding to identify risks and inform leadership.
