The American Heart Association seeks a Senior Policy Analyst, Tobacco, Systems of Care to advance policy through research, writing and advocacy. Based in Washington, DC with home-based options, you will translate science into policy, develop briefs and position statements, and support advocacy at community, state and federal levels.

You will build and manage external relationships, contribute to policy implementation research, and represent AHA at meetings and conferences.

Formación

• Bachelor's or equivalent in health policy, public policy or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in policy analysis and advocacy.
• Experience translating science into public policy and communicating to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of health policy, health care delivery and tobacco prevention.

Responsabilidades

• Translate science into policy for state and federal advocacy and develop policy briefs.
• Draft statements, regulatory comments, model legislation and other advocacy materials.
• Lead or participate in policy development and measure outcomes of policy initiatives.
• Manage external relationships with agencies, coalitions and partners.
• Represent AHA at conferences and meetings; speak on policy topics when needed.
