Job summary

FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. in Bothell, WA, is seeking a Sr. Clinical Engineer to translate ultrasound expertise into clinically diagnostic, safe point-of-care systems.

You will define workflows, guide requirements, and inform product development through extensive research. You will serve as clinical lead on cross‑functional teams, ensuring on‑time delivery of project deliverables and driving education during product launches.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years as a registered sonographer.
• Medical device industry experience (3–7 years).
• POCUS development experience preferred (3–7 years).
• RDMS/RVT/RDCS/CCI certification required; RDMS preferred.
• Strong ultrasound physics knowledge.
• Good Clinical Practice certification.
• Understanding of medical device development processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to ensure clinical diagnostics, safety, and user needs are met.
• Act as clinical lead on projects, guiding requirements and designs.
• Ensure on-time delivery of clinical engineering deliverables.
• Plan, execute, and report regression testing.
• Perform train-the-trainer activities for education and product launches.
• Lead R&D activities to advance POCUS-related knowledge and workflows.
• Advocate for customer needs focusing on reliability, durability, and usability.
• Refine and design state‑of‑the‑art ultrasound technologies.
• Collaborate with Ultrasound Engineering to optimize image quality.
• Capture clinical needs for POCUS users.
• Ensure research protocols align with clinical workflows.
• Oversee ultrasound system testing before customer delivery.
• Participate in risk assessments, service, and quality reviews.
• Mentor other Clinical Engineering team members.
• Scan and review new features, systems, and transducers.
