Job summary

FUJIFILM Sonosite is seeking a Sr. Clinical Engineer in Bothell, WA, to leverage ultrasound expertise across R&D.

The role focuses on identifying clinical workflows, defining requirements, and developing point-of-care ultrasound systems with safety and usability as priorities. The successful candidate will lead clinical input across cross-functional teams, guide design decisions, and ensure research and testing align with user needs.

Qualifications

• Registered sonographer with 8–10 years of experience.
• 3–7 years in medical device industry.
• 3–7 years in POCUS development.
• RDMS, RDCS, RVT or CCI (RCS) required; RDMS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics and instrumentation.
• Good Clinical Practice Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product development teams to ensure clinically diagnostic and safe ultrasound systems.
• Lead as the clinical lead on projects, ensuring requirements align with workflows and user needs.
• Oversee testing of ultrasound systems before delivery to customers.
• Provide mentorship and ongoing clinical input across development activities.
• Support education and product launches through train-the-trainer activities.
