Job summary

IDEX is seeking an Advanced Processing Engineer to lead high-tolerance CNC machining, automation, and process development across our Performance Pneumatics platform. This hands-on working manager role partners with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver measurable improvements in quality, yield, and cycle time.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in manufacturing, strong CNC and automation experience, and a proven track record in Lean/Six Sigma.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
8+ years in manufacturing, process engineering, or related technical discipline.
Heads-on experience with CNC machining, tooling, fixturing, and process improvement.
Experience with industrial automation including PLC/HMI, robotics, vision, or motion systems.
Proven Lean, continuous improvement, or productivity initiative leadership with measurable results.
Strong cross-functional communication and project leadership across sites.

Responsibilities

Lead advanced machining and process development across the Performance Pneumatics platform.
Drive automation, PLC/HMI, robotics, vision, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, DOE, and SPC to reduce waste and improve performance.
Manage capital projects from business case through installation and validation.
Provide shop-floor support and mentor engineers and technicians.
Ensure safety, ergonomics, and quality system compliance.
