Job summary

AV is seeking a senior product marketing owner for its Layered Defense/C-UAS portfolio. You will own positioning, messaging, launches, and sales enablement, reporting directly to the VP of Marketing & Communications.

This is a senior IC role with executive visibility and a mandate to bring software‑industry PMM discipline to defense tech. You will build positioning grounded in operational evidence, run repeatable launch operations, and enable capture outcomes.

Qualifications

• 12-15 years total civilian work experience.
• 8+ years in product marketing with defense, aerospace, or dual-use tech.
• Ownership of a product line or portfolio at $100M+ revenue.
• Fluency in DoD acquisition dynamics.
• Ability to operate within export control constraints.
• In-office 4-5 days per week from AV’s San Diego or Albuquerque campus.
• Self-directed operator with executive accountability and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own positioning and messaging for the Layered Defense/C-UAS portfolio.
• Lead product launches with cross-functional teams and cross‑site collaboration.
• Develop enablement assets (battlecards, proof library, demos).
• Partner with BU leadership, program managers, and capture leads.
• Deliver export-aware localized positioning for priority allied regions.
