Job summary

Exelon seeks a Project Manager to lead complex transmission, substation, distribution, gas, and IT initiatives with cross‑functional teams across multiple operating areas. You will manage scope, schedule, budget and safety, with project budgets typically ranging from $1 million to $60 million.

Role may require extended hours during storms or energy emergencies. You will mentor colleagues, coordinate contractor resources and present updates to executives to ensure on‑time, on‑budget results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 7–10 years PM experience, or 9–12 years without a degree.
• PMP certification or plan to obtain within two years of entry.
• Experience leading large, complex projects using standard PM techniques (scope, schedule, cost, risk).

Responsibilities

• Directly deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Interface with external customers for major transmission/substation work and negotiate schedules.
• Coordinate with resource managers to optimize personnel utilization.
• Communicate with sponsors and stakeholders, including executives.
• Lead contractor selection, change orders, and payments; evaluate contractor performance.
• Mentor team members and coach for improved performance.
• Obtain zoning variations and permits, presenting details to boards and hearings.
• Provide backup support for the Manager of Project Management.
