Job summary

Medtronic in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Project Management Specialist/Systems Administrator to administer PM tools, drive process improvements, and support portfolio visibility in a highly regulated medical device environment.

You will partner with project teams and functional stakeholders to enable effective planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring alignment with program leadership and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of professional experience or Master's with 2+ years.
• Experience supporting project planning, execution, tracking, and reporting in a business, technical, engineering, or product development environment.
• Experience working with project management systems, tools, or software platforms.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to implement projects, processes, or business system improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead configuration, administration, maintenance, and deployment of project management tools and systems (ResourceFirst, Prochain Fusion, MS Project).
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement improvements to PM systems and processes.
• Facilitate project planning, execution, tracking, and reporting to support teams and leadership.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, dashboards, metrics, and status reports for visibility.
• Identify risks, issues, and process gaps; implement solutions to improve schedule, quality, and productivity.
• Serve as liaison between teams, stakeholders, and leadership for alignment and decisions.
• Lead or support initiatives to improve PM methodologies, tools, governance, and effectiveness.
• Drive user adoption and training for PM systems and process improvements.
