Job summary

Yami is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Search and Discovery to own end-to-end product experiences that help customers efficiently find, explore, and engage with the right products across the platform.

You will define product strategy and roadmap, partnering with Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Merchandising, UX Design, and Content to build end-to-end capabilities and improve search relevance, ranking, and personalization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management delivering search, discovery, or recommendation systems in relevant environments.
• Deep understanding of search concepts: parsing, intent, ranking, indexing, recall vs precision.
• Knowledge of metrics: CTR, conversion, GMV, NDCG, etc.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ML/data science collaboration to define objectives and translate into features.
• Experience leading cross-functional, distributed teams; remote collaboration.
• Bilingual written and verbal in Chinese and English.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for search and discovery systems.
• Drive improvements in metrics such as relevance, CTR, conversion, and GMV.
• Lead development of core capabilities: intent recognition, ranking, autocomplete, browse/taxonomy, personalization.
• Partner with Engineering and Data Science to translate ML into product features.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Content, UX to enhance discovery and UX.
• Establish clear success metrics and translate insights into improvements.
• Drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders and distributed teams.
