Job summary

Hinge is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Recommendations to own the decisioning of who to show users and to improve personalization end-to-end. You will work at the intersection of machine learning and human connection with data science, ML, engineering, design and research.

You’ll tackle welcoming new users, ensure equitable recommendations, and turn insights into impactful product improvements that daters can feel.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of product management experience, ideally in personalization, recommendations, ranking or ML-powered consumer products.
• Proven track record owning a product area end-to-end and driving measurable improvements to core metrics.
• Comfort collaborating with data science, ML and engineering to shape direction on model inputs and ranking.
• Strong ability to translate complex ideas for non-technical audiences.
• Curiosity about dating and user experience, with interest in fairness and inclusivity of algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Own core recommendations improvements end to end, from problem definition to shipped result and impact on metrics.
• Collaborate with data science and ML to refine personalization, ranking logic, inputs and experience.
• Turn ambiguity into a prioritized roadmap, sequencing work and aligning partners as priorities shift.
• Make decisions using experiments, behavioral data and research when signals are imperfect.
• Communicate plans and results clearly to engineers and leadership alike.
• Help maintain trust by ensuring the system remains fair, safe, and aligned with company values.
