Job summary

Northrop Grumman Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) in Roy, Utah seeks an experienced Materials, Process & Parts (PMP) Engineer to develop and qualify parts, materials and processes for avionics/space/defense hardware.

Responsibilities include evaluating drawings, leading qualification and screening programs, and collaborating with design, manufacturing, test, quality and supply chain teams. Requires 12+ years PMP experience and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Materials Process or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in PMP.
• Minimum of 8 years of PMP engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain part, material, and process specifications, standards, and controlled documents.
• Lead selection, characterization, and qualification of electronic parts, materials, and processes.
• Review engineering drawings for producibility and provide alternatives when needed.
• Plan and execute qualification and screening test programs for new parts, materials, and processes.
• Provide PM&P support to design, manufacturing, and test IPTs.
• Monitor part alerts and regulatory impacts; mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust hardware.
