Northrop Grumman SDS in Roy, UT is seeking an experienced Material Process Engineer/PM&P with heavy emphasis on parts, materials and processes for aerospace and defense hardware. The role requires a Secret clearance and US citizenship, with SAP clearance potential in the future.

You will lead selection, qualification and documentation of parts and processes, review drawings for producibility, and collaborate with design, manufacturing and test IPTs to ensure robust, producible hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Materials Process or related STEM field.
• 12+ years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years PMP engineering experience.
• U.S. citizen with active Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
• Strong written and oral communication; basic project management.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, ASME Y14.24 drawings, and 3D models.
• Experience with DoD/aerospace standards such as MIL-STD-11991.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain part, material and process specifications, standards, and controlled documents.
• Lead selection, characterization, and qualification of electronic parts, materials, and processes.
• Review engineering drawings for producibility and accuracy; propose alternatives.
• Identify, plan and execute qualification and screening test programs for new parts, materials and processes.
• Provide PM&P support to design, manufacturing, and test IPTs throughout the product lifecycle.
• Monitor part alerts, obsolescence notices, RoHS/REACH, and counterfeit risk; recommend mitigations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PM&P requirements.
