Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a PM&P Material Process Engineering Manager 3 for the SDS division in Roy, UT. Lead PM&P plans, drive supplier relationships, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet MIL-STD and contract specs.

The role requires a solid engineering background with DoD Secret clearance, leadership experience, and CAM expertise to manage budgets and schedules on multi-million-dollar programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with 8 years of experience.
• Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with 6 years of experience.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, with ability to obtain SAP approval.
• Minimum 3 years of Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience with cost/schedule baselines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PM&P plans defining baseline requirements for design, development, production, test, and sustainment.
• Provide SME during design reviews on material selection, process feasibility, manufacturability, and cost-effective solutions.
• Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships to meet technical, quality, schedule, and security requirements.
• Chair the PM&P Control Board, presenting status, risks, and decisions to customers and Senior Leadership.
• Identify cost and schedule risks and integrate Earned Value Management forecasts for programs often exceeding $50M.
• Author and present technical content for proposals, milestone reviews, and position papers; support bid-to-win activities.
• Mentor and train junior engineers in PM&P best practices.
