Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Deerfield, IL is seeking a Life Sciences Senior Project Manager to lead complex laboratory, manufacturing, and building infrastructure projects in regulated environments. You will guide strategy, budgets, schedules and governance for large accounts, ensuring quality and safety across all phases.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required (Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred).
• Architecture, Engineering, or Project Management certification preferred; 10/30-hour OSHA Construction certification a plus.
• 7-10+ years of relevant experience in project or construction management, preferably Life Sciences or other highly regulated settings.
• 2-3 years as a Senior Project Manager or similar role preferred.
• Life Science, Healthcare, or Commercial Building construction project management experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with base building electrical, HVAC, and mechanical infrastructure required.
• Experience with project scope development, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract negotiations required.
• Experience working in and managing a team preferred.
• Experience developing risk management plans and leading teams through established work authorization processes to ensure no impacts or incidents.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the project management leader for a major account in Deerfield, IL, including annual capital plan execution, forecasts, cash flow analysis, and project plans.
• Provide supervisory leadership involving people management, decision-making, audits, and productivity improvements.
• Own KPIs and metrics; manage daily project operations governance.
• Build trusted relationships across the client organization with proactive problem-solving.
• Oversee adherence to budgets, resource allocation, and profitability; understand GM, AR, P&L.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation across all phases of construction.
• Apply PM skills during client interactions to define goals and scope.
• Focus on Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety in planning and design.
