Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Lab Projects to lead laboratory construction and renovation from initiation to closeout.

You will coordinate with clients, scientists, engineers and vendors, develop detailed plans, manage budgets, schedules and resources, ensure compliance with codes and safety, and guide project teams to deliver high‑quality lab facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in project or construction management.
• 5+ years of MEP systems experience in preconstruction/construction management.
• PM/LEED certifications preferred (e.g., PMP, LEED).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage laboratory construction and renovation projects from initiation to closeout.
• Coordinate with clients, scientists, researchers and stakeholders to define requirements and objectives.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, budget, schedules and resources.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and vendors for successful delivery.
• Obtain permits, licenses and approvals for laboratory projects.
• Monitor budgets and costs to adhere to estimates.
• Conduct site visits and mitigate issues.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety guidelines and client requirements.
• Coordinate equipment procurement, installation, commissioning and training.
• Handover labs to facility managers and operations teams.
• Track performance, report to stakeholders and manage documentation.
• Perform risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated on lab design trends and regulations.
