Job summary

RemX is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-value commercial interior construction projects in Illinois, focusing on client satisfaction, profitability, and team development. You will oversee execution from preconstruction to closeout and manage client relationships.

The role requires 8+ years experience in interior construction, experience with high-rise tenant improvements, and strong skills in scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience managing commercial interior construction projects.
• Experience leading high-rise tenant improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, contracts, budgeting, risk management, RFIs, submittals.
• Proven ability to build client relationships and deliver profitable projects.
• Experience mentoring project teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple commercial interior and tenant improvement projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, trade partners, and project stakeholders.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, risk management, and profitability.
• Lead trade partner procurement, buyouts, change orders, and financial reconciliation.
• Facilitate project meetings, coordinate field and office teams, and ensure project milestones are met.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers, Engineers, and Coordinators.
• Support business development efforts, client interviews, and pursuit opportunities.
• Drive quality control, documentation standards, and continuous process improvement.
