Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Manager 2 to lead moderately complex construction projects in the Atlanta area. You will guide safety culture, coordinate preconstruction activities and manage subcontracts to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in construction management or related field and 7+ years of experience, with travel and flexible hours as needed. This is a full-time, on-site position with JE Dunn Construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• 7+ years construction management experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• May require travel and/or relocation.
• Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of the company’s safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment.
• Manages the prestart checklist form.
• Supports preconstruction with quantity takeoff, trade coordination and scope development, bid package development, scheduling, bid list creation and bid advertisement.
• Leads buyout schedule, verifies pricing and scope, identifies bidders, and manages subcontracts.
• Manages submittal schedule, reviews shop drawings and samples for approval by architects/engineers.
• Coordinates with logistics to obtain pricing on materials and equipment.
• Gathers pricing and manages change requests with subcontractors.
• Prepares monthly subcontractor and owner pay applications.
• Develops project schedule with the team and manages resources to meet schedule.
• Provides written decision documentation on budget, schedule, legal, quality and safety.
