Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a Project Manager for heavy civil, highway, bridge, and utility work in the Cary/Raleigh market. You will serve as PM of record from preconstruction through closeout, managing budgets, schedules and stakeholder communications.

You will lead superintendents, field engineers, and subcontractors to deliver on time, within budget, and with a strong safety culture. This is a hands-on role with direct leadership to senior management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as the Project Manager of record on heavy civil, highway, bridge or utility work for a contractor.
• NCDOT project experience as the PM of record is required; be ready to name the jobs.
• Must have run projects end-to-end; not an APM/Engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Run NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects from preconstruction through closeout as PM of record.
• Own the budget, schedule, cost reports, forecasting and margin for each project.
• Lead field teams and subcontractors to hit production, quality and safety goals.
• Serve as main contact for NCDOT, owners, engineers, inspectors and vendors.
• Issue subcontracts and purchase orders and manage subcontractor performance.
• Manage change orders, pay estimates, submittals, claims and contract documentation.
• Run weekly project meetings on schedule and cost; report to leadership.
• Collaborate with estimating on bids and project handoffs to start right.
