Job summary

Infleqtion is seeking a Sr. Program Manager of Execution & Staffing Operations within the Quantum Sensing Solutions (QSS) group.

This leader will grow a multidisciplinary technical organization, drive hiring and staffing across diverse engineering domains, and align capacity with current and future program demands. You will manage resource planning and execute staffing strategies to meet ambitious growth goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or related technical discipline; advanced technical degree preferred.
8+ years as a leader or program manager in hardware applied research and development.
8+ years as a functional leader of engineering and / or research scientist talent.
5+ years in hiring for deep technical talent.
Demonstrated ability to lead engineers and scientists across technically challenging problems with competing priorities.
Strong understanding of engineering development processes, including requirements, architecture, design, integration, verification, validation, and risk management.
Experience building and scaling deep technical teams to meet business demand forecast needs.
Strong resource-planning and organizational-development capabilities.
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior technical, programmatic, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Own functional resource planning and allocation across multiple programs.
Drive technical hiring from requisition through hire across QSS business area in partnership with HR, recruiting, and leaders.
Align engineering capacity, capabilities, priorities, and schedules for current programs and future opportunities.
Identify capability gaps and develop build, hire, partner, or outsource strategies.
Anticipate future engineering capability requirements and develop talent and infrastructure ahead of demand.
Resolve cross-program resource conflicts and ensure critical efforts have necessary expertise.
Develop and monitor engineering performance indicators including maturity, execution health, staffing, quality, and risk.
Build, lead, develop, and retain a high-performing multidisciplinary engineering organization.
Define organizational structure, capabilities, roles, and leadership for current and future needs.
Recruit and develop engineers & scientists, technical leaders, engineering managers, and subject-matter experts.
Translate strategic objectives into executable resource plans across proposal to end of life.
Define staffing execution processes scalable for large future growth.
Represent resource considerations in portfolio decisions with cost and schedule awareness.
