Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the owner’s representative efforts on a large federal development program in the Virginia Beach area. The role focuses on schedule, budget, and quality for ground-up construction projects.

The position requires 7+ years of construction PM experience, DoD/NAVFAC background, and the ability to brief military leadership. Onsite work is five days per week in Virginia Beach, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of construction project management experience, including ground-up construction.
• Direct NAVFAC project experience or extensive Department of Defense construction background.
• Multi-family residential development experience in a developer or owner’s representative role.
• Demonstrated experience managing vendors on programs of comparable scale.
• Change order review and approval experience on complex construction contracts.
• Ability to brief and interact with military leadership at the base command level and above.
• Willingness to work onsite in the Virginia Beach area five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead JLL’s owner’s representative role on assigned scopes, holding the vendor accountable to schedule, budget, and quality.
• Own change order review and approval workflows, adjudicating contested items with the vendor.
• Coordinate with the vendor’s project management staff across construction phases.
• Interface with client stakeholders on program status, risks, and issue resolution.
• Prepare and deliver briefings to client leadership.
• Mentor Project Managers on the team and support their professional development.
• Contribute to program-level cost, schedule, and risk reporting to JLL leadership and the client.
