Planet Labs is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Defense & Intelligence Tasking Solutions to bridge our core Tasking platform with D&I mission offerings, owning Tip-and-Cue and the Tasking Strategy Engine to translate mission rules into satellite collection.

This role partners with Forward Deployed Engineering, focuses on reusable platform capabilities, and is hybrid, requiring presence in San Francisco or Arlington three days per week.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of technical product management bridging core platform and field teams.
• Understanding of tasking, scheduling, or workflow orchestration systems.
• Experience translating operational rules into system workflows and product requirements.
• Background in geospatial intelligence, satellite tasking, or defense tech.
• Active or prior U.S. Security Clearance (Secret or TS/SCI).

Responsibilities

• Bridge core Tasking platform with D&I mission offerings; own Tip-and-Cue and the Tasking Strategy Engine.
• Translate mission rules into system workflows and product requirements for satellite collection.
• Work with Forward Deployed Engineering to accelerate delivery with reusable platform capabilities.
