Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) seeks a Senior Project Manager for its Construction Materials Testing (CMT) team. You will oversee the successful management, execution, and delivery of CMT and special inspection projects, coordinating with clients, contractors, field and lab staff to keep projects on time and within budget.

This role requires 7–10 years in CMT/geotechnical, 3+ years of PM experience, strong knowledge of testing standards, and proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in construction materials testing or geotechnical engineering.
• 3+ years direct project management in consulting or construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of testing standards (ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, ICC, etc.).
• Proven track record in managing budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and client management skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools and reporting systems (Excel, Procore, Metafield, or similar).
• Manage multiple CMT projects simultaneously from proposal through closeout.
• Coordinate testing and inspection services for soil, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and structural steel.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work.
• Review and approve field reports, test results, and final deliverables.
• Ensure that projects comply with applicable standards (ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, IBC, etc.).
• Coordinate with field and laboratory staff to maintain quality and consistency in testing.
• Supervise and mentor project engineers, technicians, and junior staff.
• Conduct regular site visits and attend project meetings as needed.
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Assist with business development, proposal writing, presentations and client outreach.
• Support QA/QC and accreditation process (e.g., AASHTO, R18, CCRL, AMRL).
• Promote and ensure job site and laboratory safety compliance.
