Job summary

ESPO Corporation in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead combined cycle power plant projects from design through startup. This permanent direct-hire role offers a challenging portfolio and opportunities to influence multi-discipline teams across engineering, procurement and construction.

You will manage project cost and schedule, coordinate with the client, vendors and internal staff, and drive change control, risk mitigation and on-time delivery for high-value projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 15 to 20 years of experience on Power projects, specifically combined cycle.
• At least 8-10 years as a Project Manager.
• Experience managing a portfolio of projects ranging from small to mid-cap, $100MM TIC and up.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with clients and vendors.
• Willingness to travel and work in office and field environments.
• Compliance with vaccination requirements as established by the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead mid-large capital power projects, including management of multiple engineering disciplines and vendor management from early phases through start-up and commissioning.
• Monitor, report, and control project costs and schedule through all phases.
• Direct and manage project staff, providing vision and strategic leadership and ensuring quality and scope compliance.
• Coordinate with overseas High Value Engineering offices and ensure contractual requirements are met.
• Develop and implement administrative, technical and corporate procedures to operate profitably.
• Build relationships with client and project personnel and ensure client input is addressed.
