Job summary

Zachry Group in Charlotte, NC seeks an EPC Project Manager for combined cycle power generation. You will oversee engineering responsibilities across EPC activities, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

The role interfaces with procurement, construction, commissioning, and project stakeholders; you will lead engineering teams, manage risks, support supplier selections, change orders, and handover to operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years managing EPC projects in power, energy, or heavy industrial sectors; 5+ years in CCGT plants.

Responsibilities

• Direct all phases of project engineering for EPC execution from notice-to-proceed through commercial operation.
• Develop and implement project engineering execution strategies and KPI metrics.
• Oversee detailed engineering activities for combined cycle plants and ensure design compliance.
• Coordinate engineering disciplines and manage design reviews and risk assessments.
• Provide engineering support for procurement of long-lead equipment and vendor performance.
• Coordinate site construction engineering support and resolve technical issues.
• Manage EPC contract obligations and negotiate change orders.
• Assist with pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, testing, and handover to operations.
