Job summary

Samet Corporation in Charleston, SC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to own complex civic and education construction projects, including courthouse builds. You will manage budgets, schedules, and quality from preconstruction through closeout while mentoring the next generation of project managers and ensuring standards drive profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or comparable relevant experience.
• 7-10+ years of experience managing commercial/industrial, education, civic, multi-family, or healthcare construction projects.
• Proven depth in concrete and structural steel construction, including formwork and quality management for public sector facilities.
• Proven experience mentoring and guiding project managers, engineers, and administrators.
• Strong leadership, management, and computer skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license; LEED Green Associate accreditation preferred; 30-Hour OSHA certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist preconstruction personnel with project procurement strategies, including trade partner solicitation and concrete/structural steel scopes.
• Manage designers and design/procurement for negotiated design-build or CM projects within civic or education sectors.
• Develop Project Management Plans (PMP) and implement PMP work plans as projects require.
• Develop and organize job cost codes and establish buy-out strategies to maximize profit potential.
• Develop project schedules using company software and update master project schedule for courthouse and large civic projects.
• Understand Owner Contract terms, payment requirements, schedule requirements, and risk elements.
