Job summary

athenahealth seeks a Senior Manager of Product Management for its CoreAI platform in Boston. You will lead AI/ML platform strategy, prioritize LLM and MLOps initiatives, and collaborate across engineering, finance, and product teams to deliver scalable, cost-conscious AI capabilities.

You will guide model evaluation, lifecycle management, and observability while aligning roadmaps with athenahealth’s AI strategy, ensuring stakeholder alignment and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management or related technical leadership roles.
• Experience with AI/ML product development, MLOps, LLMs, and model evaluation.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead product management for AI platform capabilities including strategy and roadmap.
• Forecast and manage LLM/ML and cloud infrastructure capacity for AI product development.
• Translate customer needs into clear product priorities for internal teams.
• Prioritize requests based on impact, constraints, cost, risk, and business objectives.
• Align AI platform roadmaps with broader company AI strategy and delivery requirements.
• Guide teams on model evaluation, lifecycle management, and observability for production AI.
• Apply AI to product management workflows to improve planning and decision-making.
• Use metrics and telemetry to improve platform performance and prioritization.
• Communicate tradeoffs and roadmap decisions to stakeholders.
• Coordinate early-access programs and gather feedback for improvements.
