Job summary

Supermicro in San Jose, CA seeks a Sr Program Manager to lead development, qualification, release, and deployment of 800G OSFP transceivers and 1.6T OSFP-XD products for AI infrastructure and hyperscale data centers.

You will drive cross-functional hardware and software programs from concept through production, coordinating optics, electrical, firmware, validation, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and customer-facing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Optical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years PM experience in optical networking or data center hardware.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional hardware development programs.
• Experience lifecycle management from concept to production.
• Strong planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Proven ability to influence global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end program execution for 800G and 1.6T OSFP optical transceiver products from concept through volume production.
• Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Drive alignment across cross-functional teams including optics, electrical, mechanical, firmware, software, validation, operations, quality, and supply chain.
• Manage program risks, dependencies, and critical path activities while ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.
• Provide executive-level status reporting, program reviews, and escalation management.
• Establish and drive program governance processes, metrics, and best practices.
