Job summary

AIRO Mechanical in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Plumbing Superintendent to lead our plumbing division from start to finish, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.

You will manage crews, subcontractors, budgets, schedules, and safety compliance while coordinating with clients and project stakeholders to maintain quality and client satisfaction across multifamily, commercial, and industrial sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plumbing Superintendent in multi-family, commercial or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with email and project management software for effective communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of plumbing projects, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety compliance.
• Lead and mentor a team of plumbing technicians and subcontractors, ensuring work is performed efficiently and to code.
• Coordinate procurement and delivery of plumbing materials and equipment, ensuring timely availability at the job site.
• Interpret and review project blueprints and specifications, ensuring accurate implementation of plumbing systems.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee high workmanship standards.
• Maintain safety protocols and ensure adherence to regulations by all team members.
• Foster positive client relationships by providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
• Proactively identify challenges and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
• Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and as-built drawings for documentation.
