Senior Plumbing Service Foreman

Job summary

ACCO Engineered Systems is seeking a Foreman for our California service area. You will lead a team of plumbing service technicians, act as the technical backup for field staff, and ensure timely completion of repair, replacement or installation jobs while safeguarding the company's financial interests.

You will monitor jobsite safety, mentor Journeymen, apprentices, and trainees, and coordinate with Dispatch and other departments to meet client expectations and ACCO policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or apprenticeship completion in Plumbing or related trade.
• 7+ years of experience in Plumbing mechanical service and repair.
• 2+ years of Journeyman experience in Plumbing mechanical service and repair.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong track record of interacting with customers.
• Ability to utilize a personal computer.
• Ability to lift and carry materials 11-25 lbs up to 33% of the time.
• Valid (non-commercial) driver's license with MVR meeting ACCO's risk standards.

Responsibilities

• Requires 2 to 6 technicians as direct reports.
• Answer technical questions from field technicians and Service Sales personnel.
• Balance workloads in the area's routes to keep skill levels on jobs.
• Counsel technicians when customer relations issues arise or internal procedures have not been followed.
• Assist Dispatch in meeting the Company's response time promise to customers.
• Assist with job scheduling for service calls, maintenance, and repairs.
• Executes QA/QC protocol.
• Ensure technicians follow safety protocol.
• Communicates project expectations, requirements and due dates with field technicians.
• Coordinates and communicates with different departments within ACCO.
• Keeps the Area Supervisor informed on the day's activities and events.
• Adhere to and promote ACCO company policies and procedures.
• Instill a culture of accountability, integrity, ethics, and respect within the department.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor and/or upper management.
