Legence, leveraging its CMTA/AMA heritage, seeks a Senior Project Engineer, Plumbing and Fire Protection in New York. You will design plumbing and fire protection systems for buildings from design through construction administration, coordinating with owners, contractors, and architects to deliver high-performance solutions.

Requirements include 4+ years in plumbing and fire protection design, a Mechanical Engineering degree, PE or EIT preferred, and proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.
• AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing and fire protection systems for buildings from the design phase through construction administration.
• Prepare preliminary designs and performance specifications.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, and architects during project execution.
• Review submittals and shop drawings for code compliance and contract compliance.
• Incorporate design changes using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Produce documentation per client requirements and standards.
