MG Engineering D.P.C. is seeking a Lead Plumbing & Fire Protection Design Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversee complex building projects from NYC headquarters.

You will direct plumbing and fire-protection design efforts, coordinate with architects, owners, and authorities, and guide junior engineers through project milestones. The role requires advanced knowledge of NYC codes, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple projects from feasibility through closeout while

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline.
• Eight or more years of progressively responsible plumbing and fire protection design experience.
• Significant experience in an MEP consulting engineering environment.
• Experience leading plumbing and fire protection design assignments.
• Strong knowledge of domestic water, sanitary, stormwater, gas, and fire-protection systems.

Aufgaben

• Lead the planning, analysis, design, and documentation of plumbing systems for new construction, renovation, and upgrades.
• Direct the design and documentation of fire protection and water-based suppression systems.
• Serve as senior plumbing and fire protection technical authority on assigned projects.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Ensure designs comply with NYC codes, filings, and agency requirements.
• Mentor engineers and designers, and manage multidisciplinary teams.
