Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, in Boston seeks a Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer with 1–4 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection design. You will work with Fire Protection and Plumbing Engineers on energy‑efficient projects for diverse clients, leading all phases of projects as needed.

The role involves designing plumbing and fire protection systems from design through construction administration, producing detailed layouts, and applying Life Safety, Fire Alarm, and Fire suppression

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection design.
• Knowledge of life safety, fire, mechanical and plumbing codes (ICC, NFPA, UFC, GSA, VA).
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing and fire protection systems from design through construction administration.
• Produce detailed layouts and equipment details for fire protection and plumbing systems.
• Develop Life Safety, Fire Alarm, and Fire suppression plans with calculations and narratives.
