LaBella Associates in New York State is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer within our Building Engineering division. The role involves leading fire protection design for buildings, including sprinkler, alarm, egress, and code analysis across multiple offices (Rochester, Albany, Buffalo, Ithaca, Poughkeepsie, Syracuse, White Plains).

You will build a fire protection service team, supervise Jr engineers and architects, and help secure new business, with pathway to office leadership.

Competenze

• Minimum of 10 years of experience with an A/E firm preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Science preferred.
• Strong writing, organizational and communications skills.
• New York Professional Engineer license preferred.

Mansioni

• Supervise fire protection engineering staff to develop fire protection concepts and reports.
• Develop a fire protection group specializing in design and code services.
• Lead design of fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems.
• Perform code and egress analysis for building projects.
• Design smoke control systems using Contam or similar software.
• Provide mechanical leadership for large multi-discipline projects.
• Oversee fire protection work for higher ed, healthcare, and other sectors.
• Complete hydraulic calculations using industry software.
• Oversee fire alarm design activities.
• Interact with clients to analyze options and support decision making.
• Direct fire protection project team to meet goals and ensure quality.
• Manage project financials and schedule; lead staff and resources.
