Job summary

SHP in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the full plumbing design process for new construction and renovations. You will set technical direction, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and serve as the primary liaison to clients and project partners.

You will apply deep expertise to create efficient plumbing systems, shape firmwide standards, and mentor the next generation of talent in a collaborative, in-person environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 8–10+ years of A/E consulting experience.
• PE licensure required; LEED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee full plumbing engineering design on multiple projects.
• Provide high level technical leadership and quality review.
• Design and evaluate domestic water, sanitary, storm, gas and specialty systems.
• Represent SHP with clients, contractors, architects and consultants.
• Prepare and oversee reports, specifications and deliverables.
• Establish budgets, schedules and staffing; ensure goals are met.
• Supervise and mentor engineering staff and support team development.
• Contribute to business development, proposals and planning.
