Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group seeks a Senior Plumbing Engineer in Los Angeles, CA to lead design and project coordination across MEP disciplines. You will develop fire protection and plumbing systems, produce drawings, and mentor junior staff while interfacing with clients, architects, and contractors.

Qualified candidates have a mechanical engineering degree, 8+ years in plumbing design, proficiency with REVIT, and CPD certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; exceptional candidates may substitute with significant years of experience.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in the Plumbing Design field.
• Experience with the latest version of REVIT is a must.
• Solid knowledge of Mechanical / Plumbing trades, building codes, and drawings/documents.
• Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) Certification, highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Establishing design standards and criteria for projects, preparing calculations, reports, and specifications.
• Performing fire suppression system selection, preparing preliminary designs, and creating performance specifications.
• Consulting on facilities diligence, sustainability analyses, and feasibility reports.
• Producing drawings consistent with client requirements and standards.
• Taking responsible charge for the projects you will manage.
• Conducting business development activities as needed.
• Participating in QA/QC processes and mentoring junior staff.
