Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Senior Plumbing Engineer to lead design and coordination of complex MEP projects. You will guide plumbing systems, fire suppression, and related trades, coordinating with architects, clients, and authorities to deliver compliant, high-quality designs.

This role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, 7–10 years of plumbing design experience, REVIT proficiency, and knowledge of NFPA 99. CPD is highly preferred; mentoring junior staff is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish design standards and criteria for projects; prepare calculations, reports, and specifications.
• Perform fire suppression system selection, preliminary designs, and performance specifications.
• Consult on facility diligence, sustainability analyses, and feasibility reports.
• Produce drawings in line with client requirements and standards.
• Take responsible charge for the projects you will manage.
• Conduct business development activities as needed.
• Mentor and train junior staff.
• Participate in QA/QC processes of completed work.
