Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. You will represent the firm on projects around the world and contribute to design development across MEP and related disciplines.

This role requires hands-on CAD/REVIT design, a PE license, and 8+ years in a consulting environment. You will lead design efforts, coordinate with project teams, and help advance our technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering from an Accredited Institution.
• 8+ years' experience in a consulting/MEP engineering environment.
• PE license required.
• Project management skills a plus, including leading an internal design team.
• Hands-on design and CAD/REVIT experience required.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Firm in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members.
• Create basic designs under the direction of the Supervising engineer and/or supervising designer, developing specifications, system narratives and layouts.
• Maintain interdisciplinary coordination with other trades/projects consultants.
• Monitor all correspondence between staff, clients, contractors, owners, etc.
• Supervise construction administrative duties such as field reports, RFIs, bulletins and addenda.
• Periodic employee evaluations and participation in Technical Leadership Committee.
• Assist Technical Manager and Chief Engineer in staff mentoring.
