Job summary

SSR is seeking a Senior Plumbing Designer to deliver designs, project layouts, and contract documents per company standards. You will supervise the design team across disciplines and help develop drawings to complete a project design in a discipline.

You will collaborate with project engineers, clients, and contractors, perform on-site checks as needed, and ensure technical accuracy and compliance with codes while managing project budgets and man-hours.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in an applicable discipline or 10 years' design experience.
• Five years of experience with large-scope projects.
• Ability to read and interpret multidisciplinary plans (architectural, structural, civil, MEP).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates initial project setup and maintains up-to-date models with the architect.
• Prepares electronic drawings using industry software.
• Designs system layouts and sizing for assigned projects.
• Assists in studies and load calculations to fit project design.
• Reviews drawings and communicates changes to the project engineer.
