Job summary

SSR is seeking a Senior Plumbing Designer to prepare design drawings using industry software and maintain high quality standards. The role involves coordinating with the project team, communicating with clients, and performing on-site observations as needed.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and discipline-specific software (TRACE, HASS, SKM). A two-year technical degree with six years of experience or eight years total is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree with six years of applicable experience, or eight years of applicable experience.
• Three years of experience with large scope projects.
• Ability to read and interpret plans from multiple disciplines (architectural, structural, civil, plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and discipline-specific software (TRACE, HASS, SKM).
• Strong Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of codes, standards, and construction terminology.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Convert drawings from architect into usable models for design teams.
• Coordinate project setup and maintain current models through architects.
• Produce electronic drawings with accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop design approaches in coordination with project engineer.
• Assist in design layout, sizing, and equipment selection.
• Support on-site inspections and coordination with owners, architects, and other disciplines.
• Maintain detailed records of communications with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members.
• May hold project manager responsibilities on some projects.
