Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and at least 4 years of related experience.
• Completion of Journeyman’s training.
• Kentucky Journeyman Plumbers license.
• Pre-employment physical exam required.
• Valid driver’s license and must be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark underground water, sewer, and gas lines for BUD locates and excavation work.
• Install plumbing systems and piping as required by the University (sinks, toilets, water heaters, etc.).
• Repair and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures per University needs.
• Test piping systems for leaks and ensure environmental/code compliance; review plans and specs.
• Prepare material lists and keep daily reports/logs; order materials as needed.
• Apply codes to work performed and ensure proper documentation.
