Job summary

Central State Hospital in Louisville, KY is seeking a full-time Plumber to join our facilities team on a dayshift, Monday through Friday.

You will perform plumbing, maintenance, and repairs across building systems, install lines and valves, inspect for issues, and respond to work orders and emergencies. A Journeyman license and a high school diploma are required, along with two years of experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Journeyman License.
• Two years of experience.
• Must have and maintain active and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for plumbing duties in the construction, installation, alteration, maintenance, repair, remodeling or removal and replacement of plumbing.
• Plans and implements preventative maintenance program for plumbing lines, valves, fixtures, gauges, and equipment.
• Inspects plumbing lines, fixtures and equipment to determine necessary repairs.
• Responds to plumbing repair work orders and emergency requests as assigned.
• Repairs and replaces leaking lines, faucets, and plumbing apparatus and equipment.
• Installs plumbing lines and valves to boilers and heating equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet the demands of the department including plumbing, carpentry, flooring installation and repair, ceiling tile installation and repair, locksmith, landscaping, HVAC.
