Job summary

State of Ohio - Rehabilitation & Correction - Mansfield Correctional Institution is seeking a Plumber Lead to supervise plumbing trades workers and inmates, install and repair plumbing systems, and ensure safety and compliance in a correctional environment. You will read blueprints, estimate work, maintain preventive maintenance, and coordinate materials.

Qualifications include 18 months of plumbing experience or higher, plus strong problem solving and time management skills.

Qualifications

• 18 months' training or 18 months' verifiable plumbing work experience under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serves as lead worker over plumbers or trades workers and/or inmates engaged in plumbing work.
• Installs, modifies and repairs plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Maintains building facilities and equipment; checks pipes, plumbing and fixtures for corrosion.
• Reads blueprints, prepares job estimates and maintains job records.
• Establishes and conducts preventive maintenance programs for plumbing systems and equipment.
