Job summary

Valeo North America Inc. in Reno is seeking a Senior PLC Engineer to lead industrial automation initiatives across the site, from programming to validation and manufacturing readiness.

You will work with automation hardware and software, including Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, ABB and Kuka robotics, as well as VFDs and vision systems, to optimize line performance and reliability. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical or Mechatronics and at least four years of PLC programming

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of PLC programming experience in a high-speed industrial setting.
• Experience with automation hardware/software and robotics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrial automation projects and efforts at the site.
• Program, validate, and deploy PLC-based control systems with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate interfaces between site, platforms, and Process Expertise Center; manage industrial teams and budgets.
