Job summary

Zoom in San Jose, CA is seeking a Lead Staff Site Reliability Engineer to be one of the technical leads for our DevOps Platforms organization. You will guide across cloud and data center infrastructure, security services, and Zoom for Government (ZfG) environments, defining projects and mentoring multiple teams.

The role focuses on building robust Kubernetes infrastructure, implementing IaC, monitoring, incident management, and shaping roadmaps.

Qualifications

8+ years of SRE/DevOps experience.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python/Go/Java).
Experience deploying CI/CD pipelines with Git, Jenkins, Argo CD, or JFrog.
Experience operating cloud infrastructure on AWS/OCI and using Terraform & Kubernetes.
Observability with ELK/Prometheus/Grafana.
Strong communication with security teams and leadership.
Participation in on-call rotations and incident response.
US citizenship or Greencard status.

Responsibilities

Design and scale DevOps platform services including Kubernetes infrastructure, cloud systems, and compliance-ready environments.
Define technical roadmaps and architectural direction for infrastructure automation and security.
Partner with service teams to understand platform needs and deliver reliable and efficient solutions.
Establish and advocate for SRE best practices including infrastructure as code, monitoring, and incident management.
Mentor team members through design, implementation, and production deployment of complex systems.
