Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to join our engineering team, driving reliability, scalability, and performance of critical systems in a demanding financial services environment.

You will design cloud infrastructure on AWS, lead incident management, implement CI/CD security, and mentor junior SREs while partnering with software teams to uphold high availability and robust observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or related roles.
• 3+ years in a lead or senior technical position.
• On-call rotations and incident management experience.
• GenAI based Applications: knowledge of LLMs and agentic apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and resilient systems across cloud infrastructure.
• Establish SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs to ensure performance.
• Lead incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Develop monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and maintain security controls.
