Job summary

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Platform Observability SRE to join the observability team. This role supports 200+ hosted deployments across cloud regions, ingesting logs, metrics and traces for Elastic Cloud and ESS.

You will own end-to-end delivery and help keep production shining. You will operate infrastructure as code (Terraform, Python, Go), participate in 24/7 on-call, mentor engineers, review changes, and improve runbooks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Strong Python; Go helpful.
• Deep Linux knowledge and production container experience.
• Experience with 24/7 on-call and incident RCAs.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of moderate-to-high complexity projects.
• Operate and harden Elastic Cloud infrastructure as code (Terraform, Python, Go).
• Maintain 24/7 on-call rotation and write RCAs.
• Review code and designs for production changes.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and raise risks.
• Improve runbooks and operational processes.
