Job summary

Iru is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Core Services, to scale and secure its shared services. You will help decompose monoliths, build self-serve infrastructure, and maintain APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and the service mesh. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and fast product delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Backend proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or similar.
• Experience with AI-driven development methods and AI coding agents.
• Experience in a B2B SaaS company with multiple product lines.
• Deep understanding of microservices and service-oriented architecture.
• Proficiency with AWS or GCP.
• Hands-on with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and deployment strategies.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, and relational DBs like Postgres/MySQL.
• Strong code review and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Scale core platform services to support growing customers, devices, and traffic.
• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable shared services.
• Improve reliability with high availability and performance practices.
• Collaborate across teams to advance developer experience and new services.
• Define and enforce best practices for CI/CD and observability.
• Analyze system performance and optimize for low latency and throughput.
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure platform stability.
