Job summary

RTX is seeking a Technical Leader for the Platform Control Unit firmware and foundational software team in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role focuses on defining architecture, requirements, and a technical roadmap for PCU firmware and low-level platform software, including secure boot and hardware root-of-trust.

You will guide bring-up efforts, drive architectural decisions, and mentor engineers across embedded software, security, and hardware interfaces to deliver robust platform solutions.

Qualifications

• Must have secure boot design and bootloader architecture experience.
• Embedded systems and firmware development expertise required.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up and debugging with JTAG/logic analyzers/oscilloscopes.
• Strong C/C++ and low-level software skills.
• Deep knowledge of SoC architectures and hardware abstraction layers.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
