Job summary

Semgrep is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Semgrep Guardian to embed security into the software development loop. You will lead the platform team that integrates detection engines across agent-harness, MCP, SDKs, and risk APIs, delivering a low-latency verdict for developers and agents.

Your focus is adoption of the verdict across Semgrep products, partner IDEs, and ensuring trust in the system through transparent decisions.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.
Strong foundation in product development and taking products to production with a multidisciplinary team.
Familiarity with agile development principles and milestones.
Desire to coach and mentor engineers and leaders.
Experience building durable platforms, APIs, or SDKs for demanding users; security-related products welcome.

Responsibilities

Work closely with product and design partners to create a roadmap for platform success.
Direct the team's schedule, balancing new technology development with internal and external demand.
Retain and mentor engineers with coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
Build an environment of trust that rewards creativity and ownership.
