Job summary

Fastly is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Platform Security to shape internal trust architecture and scale authentication services across our edge platform. You will lead design efforts for trust and identity infrastructure, including secrets management, PKI, and access control, collaborating with Product, Security, Compliance, and other engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a technical capacity as an individual contributor in areas such as Privileged Access Management, workload identity management, LDAP, secrets management, or trust systems.
• Strong systems engineering background with Linux, networking, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term vision for trust and identity infrastructure and translate it into actionable plans aligned with business goals.
• Design and implement scalable internal trust solutions such as secrets management, PKI, and authentication services.
• Own complex challenges with cross-functional impact across teams and org-wide coordination.
• Promote engineering excellence by establishing and upholding technical standards, code quality, reliability, and operational maturity.
